Celtic are preparing to embark on the most critical period of the entire campaign, one whereby Celtic will look to maintain ourselves at the top of the Premiership and to qualify for the riches of the UEFA Champions League.
With Hibernian playing Sevco on the weekend, the first opportunity to put some distance between ourselves and the 5 year olds comes to hand.
Hopefully the game will not be marred with the overlooking of blatant hand balls in the box being overlooked and shoves being pounced upon as they were last week at Motherwell.
Celtic have Partick to deal with this weekend before European duty calls.
Partick are a plucky team who are hard to beat on their day as their 1-1 draw with Celtic last season proved, that game was at Paradise to boot, we did however beat them convincingly 5-0 in the next game at Firhill.
Tom Rogic picked up our second that day and will be looking to add to his tally if selected this weekend.
Rogic scores in a 5-0 white wash in the Glasgow Derby.
Our season will then get to a critical phase with out two legged tie vs FC Astana, progress will mean upwards of 30 million pounds which has the potential to take Celtic out of reach in Scotland.
In between those European matches is a date with Kilmarnock, Elbows men won’t worry Celtic too much, our youth team dispatched them 5-0 midweek and McCulloch himself seems to have the same managerial style of Ally McCoist.
Regardless every point is gold and every goal in Europe priceless, the next 11 days will decide both the position we will hold on the table and the riches we will compete for in Europe.
If we have a good couple of weeks, the future is most certainly ours.
